La casa vacanze De Oude Brandweerkazerne per sei persone si trova ai margini del villaggio di Mechelen, nel Sud-Limburgo. La casa vacanze deve il suo nome al fatto che faceva parte della precedente caserma dei pompieri.
Nel 2009 la caserma è stata trasformata in cinque abitazioni confortevoli. All'inizio del 2008, Arno e Marloes, insieme ai loro figli, cercavano un'abitazione nel Sud-Limburgo. Alla fine del 2010, il progetto è stato completato e la famiglia vi ha abitato con grande piacere per sette anni.
