L'Allegoria delle Feiras Novas e del Folklore è un'opera dello scultore Salvador Vieira, inaugurata nel 2009 .
Le Feiras Novas sono feste del comune di Ponte de Lima, che si tengono dal 1825 il secondo fine settimana di settembre, in onore della Madonna Addolorata. Sono le celebrazioni più importanti e grandi di Ponte de Lima. Oltre alla musica, al folklore e ai fuochi d'artificio, ci sono anche corse di bovini, corse di cavalli , sfilate etnografiche e storiche, gigantones e cabeçudos... ecc...
