In Poeke, een van de deelgemeenten van Aalter, staat in de bocht van de Poekebeek een mooi kasteel. Vanaf de weg die je van Lotenhulle naar Poeke brengt, ligt achter een hoge smeedijzeren afsluiting het kasteel van Poeke. Vooral de voorgevel met zijn driehoekig fronton, zijn sierlijke vensters en de twee flankerende torens maakt indruk bij de eerste aanblik. Opzij van het hekwerk leidt een eeuwenoude lindendreef naar het kasteel. De rooskleurige gevels en de toegangsbruggen weerspiegelen zich in het heldere water van de slotgracht.
