Tot 2019 kon je hier regelmatig de kunstenaar Panamarenko en zijn vrouw Eveline Hoorens zien wandelen in de omgeving van Sint-Maria-Oudenhove. In dit prachtige dorp leefden ze jaren samen. Panamarenko overleed hier op 14/12/2019. In een voorgelezen column van zijn weduwe Eveline Hoorens bracht ze een ode aan hem. Daar vertelde ze ook dat het grappige nummer "Shame and Scandal in the Family" van Shwan Elliott hun geliefkoosde nummer was dat ze afspeelden toen ze samen wandelden in deze prachtige streek.
