In de dertiende eeuw stichtten cisterciënzerzusters een abdij in de Netevallei. Vijf eeuwen lang bloeide het kloosterleven er. Na de Franse Revolutie evolueerde het domein tot een fraai buitengoed met landschapspark. Vandaag is Roosendael het gedroomde kader voor groepsverblijven, opleidingssessies, vergaderingen, feesten, zachte teambuildingactiviteiten enz. Jong en oud(er), jeugdwerk, scholen, verenigingen, families, gezinnen, recreanten en bedrijven genieten hier van de gastvrijheid die deze plek al 800 jaar kenmerkt.
Kempens Landschap vzw restaureerde al heel wat gebouwen, waaronder het ‘pesthuis’ dicht bij de Neteoever.
Domein Roosendael is centraal gelegen op de as Antwerpen-Brussel dicht bij Mechelen.
