Viroinval is een gemeente in de Belgische provincie Namen. De gemeente telt ruim 5500 inwoners. De naam van deze gemeente die ontstond in 1977 als gevolg van de gemeentefusies, is een directe verwijzing naar de vallei van de Viroin die de hele gemeente doorsnijdt.
Het Franse Nationaal Geografisch Instituut berekende in 1995 dat het geografisch middelpunt van de Europese Unie in de deelgemeente Oignies-en-Thiérache lag . Op deze plek, bekend als "Le Trou du Diable" , werd het kunstwerk "La cathédrale de lumière" van de Belgische glaskunstenaar Bernard Tirtiaux opgericht.
