Bockor wordt hier in de brouwerij van Bockor gemaakt. Omer Vander Ghinste was de brouwer die Bockor maakte. Bockor had tal van cafés. Café Sportwereld in de buurt is er één van. Om wat publiciteit te maken plaatste Omer Vande Ghinste brandramen in de cafés met zijn naam en de naam van het bier. Toen de zoon er aan kwam werd die ook Omer genoemd, omdat bij overname door de zoon men dan die brandramen die duur waren niet moesten veranderen. ZO ging de traditie verder. Nu zijn er al 5 generaties Omer. Ze hebben hun nieuwste bier dan ook Omer genoemd.
