In deze woning woonde de laatste Westendse Ijslandvaarder, Pol Corteel (1879-1968). Het is een typische kleine visserswoning, die onlangs volledig gerestaureerd werd.
Het huis werd in 1905 gebouwd en is een van de weinige getuigen in de streek van de ooit levensnoodzakelijke Ijslandvaart in deze streek.
