De Vlooybergtoren lijkt wel een trap naar de hemel te zijn. Hij is 11,28 meter hoog, 20 meter lang, weegt 13 ton en rust op een sokkel van massief beton. Hij blijft overeind door 12 kabels van 35 meter die in de berg verankerd zijn. De bekleding met cortenstaal is een knipoog naar de ijzerhoudende zandsteen in de ondergrond. Als je de 55 treden beklimt, sta je op meer dan 90 meter boven de zeespiegel. Op heldere dagen zie je links de koeltorens van Vilvoorde en rechts de mijnschachten van Beringen liggen. De Vlooybergtoren werd als decor gebruikt in de Vier-serie Callboys.
