De Internationale Luchthaven Antwerpen bevindt zich op 5 kilometer van het stadscentrum van Antwerpen en is grotendeels gelegen op het grondgebied van het Antwerpse district Deurne en de aangrenzende gemeenten Borsbeek en Mortsel. Daarom wordt in de volksmond nog vaak de vroegere naam Luchthaven Deurne gebruikt, ook bekend als ’t plein of vliegplein , - van het Franse plaine. De luchthaven is eigendom van het Vlaams Gewest. De oppervlakte van het terrein bedraagt 190 ha.
