Het huidige kasteel Ter Borght, het ‘Nieuw Hof’ is in kern een classicistisch landhuis, daterend van 1780, dat in de loop van de 19de eeuw een neoclassicistisch uitzicht heeft verkregen en is uitgebreid met bij- en dienstgebouwen, waaronder een monumentale oranjerie in ijzer en glas van 1863. Het kasteel ligt in een park in landschappelijke stijl, dat voor 1837 tot stand kwam in drie fasen en zich uitstrekt in de beemden op de zuidflank van de vallei van de Grote Nete.
