Deze waterburcht uit de 14e eeuw is één van de mooiste van Vlaanderen. Al in 1300 was Cleydael bekend en in het bezit van de familie Sanders. Nadien volgden heel wat andere eigenaars. Ook de Spaanse familie Del Rio was een tijdje bezitter van dit landgoed. Het kasteel zelf is helemaal omgeven door water dat komt van de Struisbeek. Tot in de 16e eeuw kon men vanaf de Schelde deze beek helemaal opvaren. Op het domein zelf werd een golfclub ingericht. In een van de 14e eeuwse bijgebouwen vind je een restaurant. Momenteel is het kasteel privébezit en wordt het niet opengesteld voor publiek.
