In de buurt van het station en het gemeentehuis van Boechout vind je een groot aantal prachtige zomerverblijven. De aanleg van de spoorweg vanuit Antwerpen en de bouw van het station zorgden ervoor dat Boechout snel bereikbaar werd vanuit de stad. Laat je verrassen door de mooie ‘landscape gardens’ en elegante villa’s met gietijzeren straathekken in de Janssenlei. Het kasteel Heuvelhof in de Heuvelstraat 91 werd in de jaren ’20 heropgebouwd na een brand en doet dienst als gemeentehuis. Sta je voor het kasteel? Loop eens achterom. De achterzijde en de tuin zijn absoluut de moeite om eens te bekijken.
