De Suikerkaai ligt ten zuiden van het centrum en station van Halle. Men kan de Suikerkaai bereiken via de nabijgelegen Bergensesteenweg (N6) en N28. Daarnaast bevindt het station zich op wandelafstand (600 m). Dit maakt een "aansluiting" op het openbaar vervoer (bus, trein) mogelijk.
Deze locatie is de "aankomstplaats" in Halle voor de boten van Rivertours. Het is ook belangrijk om te vermelden dit speciale cruises betreft: dergelijke boottochten vinden enkel plaats op specifieke data. Een voorbeeld hiervan is de excursie naar Ronquières.
In buurt ligt ook fietsknooppunt 65, dit is het startpunt van onze route richting Ruisbroek.
