Dit natuurreservaat in het hart van de Hesbaye is een voormalige kalksteenfabriek, ontgonnen voor de productie van cement en geëxploiteerd van 1899 tot 1956. Sindsdien heeft de natuur haar recht weer opgeëist. Dit milieu vormt vandaag de dag een gebied van grote biodiversiteit waar droge zones, bloeiende weiden, vochtige gebieden en bosrijke ruimtes naast elkaar bestaan. Het 3 hectare grote reservaat herbergt zeer zeldzame soorten zoals het bloedgeranium, de camérisier en drie soorten orchideeën.
