In 2021 stapte een Tremelonaar naar de schepen met de vraag: “Zouden we niet eens iets doen aan die sombere elektriciteitskasten?”. En dat was het begin van een enthousiast, maar ook moeizaam project om zestien nutskasten te verfraaien. Zestien kunstenaars togen in de zomer van 2016 aan het werk, ieder met zijn eigen inspiratie en ideeën. Het kastje dat we hier zien werd geschilderd door een kleindochter van de vrouw die ‘de bloem van Tremelo’ werd genoemd, een dame wiens schoonheid meerder mannenhart feller heeft doen slaan.
