De Bruegelvallei valt grotendeels samen met de vallei van de Pedebeek en de Laarbeek. De vallei is naar de schilder Pieter Bruegel genoemd omdat hij hier regelmatig zou vertoeven om inspiratie op te doen voor zijn vele meesterwerken.
