De vervallen constructie en het feit dat de Ruisseau de La Fontaine Saint Hadelin meer stroomopwaarts een erg onregelmatig debiet heeft doet vermoeden dat dit de wasplaats was totdat in 1952 de waterleiding in het dorp werd voorzien.
