Description by the author

Deze recreatieve wandelroute neemt je mee tussen Aalter en Bellem. De wandeling start en eindigt aan het treinstation van Aalter, waar eveneens parking is voorzien. Je stapt eerst richting het kanaal, dat je doorheen de rustige natuur volgt tot het gezellige dorpje Bellem. In Bellem vindt je onder andere een oude dorpshoeve en het Mariahovekasteel. Doorheen de bossen wandel je terug naar Aalter. Onderweg passeer je de Kraenepoel, waar je even kan uitrusten en genieten van de rust en stilte. De route heeft een totale lengte van ongeveer 15km.
