Tussen Dinant en Namen rollen enkele wilde riviertjes van de heuvels naar de breed en statig stromende Maas. Hun valleien behoren tot de mooiste van België. De Molignée is misschien wel de allerfraaiste van deze beken. Ze kronkelt tussen bos en rots, langs de abdij van Maredsous en oude kasteelruïnes. Net vóór ze de Maas bereikt, groet ze ook de oudste slakkenkwekerij van ons land in het onooglijke dorpje Warnant.
