Wittlaer is een stadsdeel van Düsseldorf in stadsgebied 5 en strekt zich uit aan de oostelijke oever van de Neder-Rijn ten noorden van Kaiserswerth in Noordrijn-Westfalen. Het stadsdeel omvat de oude plaatsen dorp Bockum, Einbrungen, Froschenteich en dorp Wittlaer. De noordelijke grens van het stadsdeel Wittlaer vormt tegelijkertijd de stadsgrens van Düsseldorf met Duisburg. Tot ongeveer het midden van de 20e eeuw woonden ook twee Rheinfischerfamilies in Wittlaer, zo goed als uitsluitend boeren.
