De kerstkaars van Schlitz in de Hessische stad Schlitz is met een hoogte van ongeveer 42 meter de grootste kerstkaars die niet van was is. Sinds 1992 staat ze in het Guinness Book of Records.
Sinds 1991 wordt de bergfried van de Hinterburg, de 36 meter hoge achtertoren, elke november in een rode doek gewikkeld en wordt er een ongeveer 6 meter hoge vlam van zo'n 140 gloeilampen op de top van de toren gemonteerd. Met een lift in de toren kan men de top van de kaars bereiken en genieten van het uitzicht. Op het marktplein van de historische binnenstad vindt tijdens de adventsweekenden de kerstmarkt plaats, waarbij de kaars als speciale attractie dient.
