De Georgskerk in Bad Gandersheim is een zaalkerk. Ze kenmerkt zich door een vakwerkkoor en haar boereninterieurverf uit de 17e eeuw.
De leeftijd van de St.-Georgskerk is niet precies bekend. De kroniekschrijver Henricus Bodo, een monnik van het klooster Clus, dateert in een kroniek uit de jaren 1523 tot 1532 de bouw in de 9e eeuw. Schriftelijk wordt ze voor het eerst vermeld in 1196 als stadsparochiekerk tijdens het bewind van abdis Mechthild I. De stichting van de abdijkerk Clus zou volgens Henricus Bodo teruggaan op de St.-Georgskerk.
