De katholieke kerk St. Jakobus de Oudere staat in de gemeente Uder in de Landkreis Eichsfeld in Thüringen.
Het godshuis werd in 1910 op de grond en bodem van twee voorgangergebouwen uit de 12e en 17e eeuw opgericht. De kerkboeken vermelden dat de oerkirke bijna op dezelfde plek stond. Aan het begin van de 17e eeuw was de bouwkundige staat van de oerkirke zo slecht dat in 1608 een volledige verbouwing plaatsvond. In uiterlijke bouwstijl leek zij op de huidige kerk. In 1720 werd het hoofdportaal vernieuwd en in 1752 werd er een nieuw hoogaltaar ingebouwd. In 1895 werd er een nieuw orgel aangeschaft.
