Heisterbach Abdij was een cisterciënzers klooster in de Siebengebirge nabij Oberdollendorf in Noordrijn-Westfalen, Duitsland.
De traditie van zijn oorsprong is dat een ridder genaamd Walther als kluizenaar op de Stromberg woonde, ook bekend als de Petersberg, een van de bergen die de Siebengebirge vormen. Toen talrijke leerlingen nabij zijn cel begonnen te vestigen, bouwde hij in 1134 een klooster, waar de gemeenschap volgens de regel van Sint-Augustinus leefde. Na de dood van Walther verlieten zijn leerlingen echter het klooster op de Petersberg en bouwden een ander op de Sulz.
