Op de pyramide worden vier schalen weergegeven. Eén voor elektriciteit, stadsverwarming, gas en water voor Düsseldorf. De rotatie van de driehoeken laat ook zien hoe de tijd verstrijkt. Ieder uur draaien de driehoeken onder een hoek van 90° met elkaar en vormen dus een piramide. Op de tegels staan ook nog enkele boodschappen: "Het heelal is vol energie.
