De Slag bij Kissingen vond plaats tijdens de Duitse Oorlog op 10 juli 1866 tussen Pruisen en het VII. Legerkorps van het Duitse Bondleger, dat uit Beierse troepen bestond.
Nadat het Pruisische Westleger onder het opperbevel van generaal Eduard Vogel von Falckenstein het leger van het Koninkrijk Hannover na de slag bij Langensalza had omsingeld en de overgave op 29 juni 1866 had afgedwongen, werden deze Pruisische eenheden samengevoegd onder de naam Main-leger.
