Het natuurreservaat Werder Besandten ligt op het grondgebied van de gemeente Lenzerwische in de Landkreis Prignitz in Brandenburg.
Het gebied met het kenmerknummer 1425 werd op 16 mei 1990 onder bescherming gesteld. Het ongeveer 113 ha grote natuurreservaat strekt zich uit ten noordwesten, westen en zuiden van Besandten, een bewoond deel van de gemeente Lenzerwische. Het gebied ligt direct aan de westelijk stromende Elbe. Langs de midden van de Elbe loopt de grens met Niedersachsen en aan de noordelijke rand van het gebied de grens met Mecklenburg-Voor-Pommeren. De B 195 loopt oostelijk, en in het noordoosten stroomt de Löcknitz, een rechter zijrivier van de Elbe.
