Momberg is na de kernstad de grootste stadsdeel van de stad Neustadt in de middelhessische Landkreis Marburg-Biedenkopf. Het dorp heeft ongeveer 1100 inwoners en behoort tot de oudste nederzettingen in het Hessenland. Winfried Bonifatius heeft hier aantoonbaar gewerkt.
Momberg is naast de buurplaats Mengsberg de noordoostelijkste plaats in de Landkreis Marburg-Biedenkopf. Ongeveer 35 km van de hoofdplaats Marburg ligt Momberg ongeveer in het midden van het heuvelachtige gebied tussen Vogelsberg en Kellerwald. Gelegen aan de Rijn-Weser waterscheiding, grenst het grondgebied in het oosten aan de grens van de Kreis Schwalm-Eder bij Wiera, in het noorden aan Mengsberg, in het westen aan Speckswinkel. De zuidelijke grens van de gemarkung is die naar de stad Neustadt.
