Aßweiler is een deelgemeente van de stad Blieskastel in de Saarpfalz-Kreis. De plaats maakt deel uit van het biosfeerreservaat Bliesgau, een natuurgebied aan de benedenloop van de Blies. Tot eind 1973 was Aßweiler een zelfstandige gemeente in de Landkreis Sankt Ingbert.
Aßweiler ligt op een hoogte van 355 m boven NHN aan de B 423 tussen de buurgemeenten Biesingen in het oosten, Erfweiler-Ehlingen in het zuidwesten, Ommersheim in het westen en Seelbach in het noorden aan de voet van de 395 m boven NHN hoge Hölschberg, een van de hoogste heuvels in Bliesgau.
In het grondgebied van de plaats ontspringt de Mandelbach, die bij Habkirchen in de Blies uitmondt en de buurgemeente Mandelbachtal zijn naam gaf.
