In de laatste oorlogsweken werd het Joodse echtpaar Max en Ines Krakauer verborgen gehouden in de pastorie, door de vrouw van de dominee Hildegard Spieth.
In deze pastorie overleefde het Joodse echtpaar Max en Ines Krakauer de laatste oorlogsdag. Meer dan 20 maanden waren beiden verborgen geweest in Württemberg. Ten slotte verleende de Stettener domineesvrouw Hildegard Spieth, met gevaar voor eigen leven, hier een toevluchtsoord tot de intrede van de Amerikaanse strijdkrachten op 21 april 1945.
