Hiiumaa en Zweeds: Dagö, Russisch: Chioema, in het Estisch hiid en maa is het op een na grootste eiland van Estland en vormt een provincie van dat land. Het eiland vormt een geheel met het kleinere Kassari, dat door middel van twee dammen met Hiiumaa is verbonden. Het meet 1023 km² en het telt 9381 inwoners . Het ligt ten noorden van het grotere Saaremaa in de Oostzee. Hoofdplaats is Kärdla aan de noordkust, dat ook de provinciehoofdstad is.
