Pontorson is een gemeente in het Franse departement Manche in de regio Normandië en telt 4135 inwoners . De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Avranches.Op 1 januari 1973 fuseerde de gemeente samen met Ardevon, Beauvoir, Boucey, Cormeray, Curey, Moidrey en Les Pas. Op 1 januari 1989 werd Beauvoir weer een zelfstandige gemeente. Op 1 januari 2016 werden de gemeenten Macey en Vessey opgeheven en opgenomen in Pontorson.
