Dit is een kilometerpaal (Borne) van de Voie de la Liberté, in 1948 aangelegd als blijvende herinnering aan de bevrijding van Europa.
De route verbindt Normandie met het Ardennenoffensief bij Bastogne. De complete route is bij Routeyou opgenomen als motorroute met de naam Voie de la Liberté en als fietsroute met verlenging naar Nederland (Wageningen) in tien delen met de naam VDLAV ( voie de la Liberté a velo).
