Ontdek dit gebouw met zijn pittoreske en unieke geschiedenis in het hart van de oude stad Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
Tot op de dag van vandaag hangt er een sluier van schaduw over dit gebouw met zijn suggestieve naam. Deze huidige en recente naam combineert twee verschillende historische realiteiten, de aanwezigheid van de bisschoppen van Bayonne tijdens het Grote Westerse Schisma en de penitentiaire roeping waarvan al in de 18e eeuw wordt getuigd. De ingang komt uit op een wachthuis gevolgd door disciplinaire cellen. Een smalle trap leidt naar een grote middeleeuwse gewelfde ruimte.

- Baskische pelota: een leuke, tactiele tentoonstelling met video's
- De geschiedenis van de Baskische diaspora: foto- en videotentoonstellingen van persoonlijke getuigenissen
- De geschiedenis van de oude begraafplaats van Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
