Fabrice Hyber(t) is de auteur van "L'Homme de Bessines" in 1989. Deze kleine groene mannetjes van 86 cm hoog, geïnstalleerd op het waterleidingnet van de stad, fonteinen die water spuwen uit alle lichaamsopeningen, zijn in opdracht van het publiek gemaakt als straatmeubilair en weerspiegelen de nauwe band tussen de tuinder en de Marais Poitevin.
In 1991 creëerde deze internationaal bekende, in Parijs wonende kunstenaar ook de grootste zeep ter wereld, opgenomen in het Guinness Book of Records (22 ton gegoten in een vrachtwagenkipper). In 1995 veranderde hij het Musée d'Art Moderne in Parijs in een "Hybermarché" en richtte hij in het Centre Georges Pompidou een professionele kapsalon in voor de tentoonstelling Féminin/Masculin in 1996.
