Alleen de vierkante en puntige torens overleefden de verwoesting van de abdij van Saint-Winoc, in hun hoedanigheid als navigatiemarkering. Schepen die het kanaal van Duinkerken binnenvoeren werden in een veilige richting geleid door de twee torens van Bergues.
Deze toren ligt op de hoogten van Bergues en is het enige overblijfsel van de abdij Saint-Winoc die tijdens de Revolutie werd verwoest. De toren werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd op de kruising van het dwarsschip van de kerk. De basis is romaans, terwijl de bovenste verdieping gotisch is. De abdij wordt beschouwd als het eerste gotische gebouw in de regio.
