In een 2005-poll van de Radio Times-lezers werd de Cheddar Gorge genoemd als het tweede grootste natuurlijke wonder in Groot-Brittannië. Alleen de Dan yr Ogof grotten deden het nog beter. De kloof trekt ongeveer 500.000 bezoekers per jaar. Deze canyon was ook een topic van het televisieprogramma 'Seven Natural Wonders' in 2005.
