In de serie Rallyroute wordt de historie van aansprekende rally's behandeld. Tevens wordt gewezen op het plezier van rijden over uitdagende en tot de verbeelding sprekende wegen in hoog-toeristisch tempo.
De Wales Rally GB, vroeger vooral bekend als RAC Rally, heeft een bijzonder karakter. Werden in vroeger jaren grote stukken van Engeland en Schotland als wedstrijdterrein gebruikt, sinds het begin van het nieuwe millennium fungeert Cardiff, de hoofdstad van Wales, als eindpunt. Wat goed past in de moderne, compacte aanpak van het World Rally Championship.
