Een natuurlijke zwemvijver dat wordt gevoed door een plaatselijke warmwaterbron/geysir die om de 5 minuten uitbarst. Het water heeft er heel het jaar door een temperatuur van 38 à 40°. Een eerder kleinschalig zwemparadijs en heel wat minder toeristisch dan de fameuze Blue Lagoon nabij Reykjavik. Toch wordt aangeraden om voor 15u30 te komen omdat dan de tourbustoeristen worden toegelaten.
Rond de zwemplaats is een wandelpad aangelegd waarlangs verschillende kokende en spuitende warmwaterbronnen te zien zijn. De nabijgelegen tomatenserres worden voorzien van de plaatselijke geothermische warmte.
