Lemsterland ) )) was een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland met 13.544 inwoners en een oppervlakte van 124,37 km², waarvan 47,70 km² water. Op 1 januari 2014 ging de gemeente op in de nieuw ontstane gemeente De Friese Meren.
Tot de jaren zeventig liep de taalgrens tussen Fries en Stellingwerfs door de gemeente. Het Stellingwerfs werd geïntroduceerd met de kolonisatie van het gebied door Gieterse verveners omstreeks 1800. In de oostelijke helft werd Stellingwerfs naast de Friese taal gebruikt. Nadien is ook dit gebied verfriest. Het Stellingwerfs wordt weinig meer gebruikt.
