Zuid-Limburg tussen het plateau van Doenrade en het dal van de Geleenbeek.
Het is een klein wandelparadijs met bijzonder veel routes, ook voor de mountainbiker. Bekende wandelpaden zijn het Pieterpad en het Pelgrimspad. Je
loopt er door bossen, holle wegen en langs kikkerpoeltjes en weides met veldkruisen waar dassen en korenwolven voorkomen.
