Met de bouw van de Grote of Sint-Vituskerk is in 1387 begonnen. Uniek zijn de schilderingen op het eikenhouten tongewelf uit 1510 met voorstellingen uit het Oude en Nieuwe testament, geïnspireerd op werken van Albrecht Dürer. In deze kerk kwam de Vereniging van Erfgooiers bijeen. De laatste ledenvergadering was op 28 april 1979. De kerk is nog als Nederlands Hervormde kerk in gebruik, maar ook als concertzaal en tentoonstellingsruimte.
