Zoals het vroeger was
Je kijkt hier uit over het natuurgebied Botshol, een gebied met grote plassen, smalle slootjes, rietland en moerasbos. Hier kan je nog een beetje voorstellen hoe het landschap was, toen de eerste turfarbeiders hier bezig waren met hun zware werk.
Je ziet nog hier en daar de smalle stukjes land, waar het turf te drogen werd gelegd. Door de turfwinning zijn grote en kleine plassen ontstaan.
In het heldere water komen veel zeldzame waterplanten voor, zoals het Groot Nimfkruid, en het vleesetende waterplantje Blaasjeskruid.
