Aan de Lijnbaansgracht was het café chantant 't Cloppertjen. In februari 1968 werd het folksongcafe "'t Cloppertjen" geopend. Wim Ibo was een van de eerste gasten. Anne-Marie Brandt was de initiatiefneemster. Maar ook WIm De Craene trad hier op. Op achttienjarige leeftijd trok Wim De Craene naar Amsterdam om dichter bij zijn mentor Ramses Shaffy te kunnen wonen. Shaffy liet hem optreden in het café chantant 't Cloppertjen en uit blijk van dank en bewondering noemde De Craene in 1974 zijn eigen zoon Ramses.
