Aan de ene zijde van de Markt rijst de toren van de Geertruidskerk omhoog en aan de andere zijde kan je niet om de koeltoren van de Amercentrale heen. Veel wordt goedgemaakt door de prachtige leilinden aan weerszijden van de Markt, die ook nog een beetje de geparkeerde auto’s wegmoffelen. Neem de tijd om de vele historische panden te bekijken, zoals bv. het oude Raadhuis, Markt 32-34 of Huis De Roos, Markt 46 en het voormalig Weeshuis op nr. 52.
