Rectum is een buurtschap in de Nederlandse gemeente Wierden . Het kende op 1 januari 2010 370 inwoners. Rectum ligt tussen Wierden en de Huurne, IJpelo, Enter en Notter in. De agrarische sector is voor de buurtschap altijd bepalend geweest. Het gebied kende dan ook lang een eigen boerenbond. Het deelt samen met de buurtschap IJpelo een basisschool. Naast de veeteelt en akkerbouw, is er sinds 2004 ook wijnbouw.
