The Bois de la Houssière is a forest located in the municipality of Braine-le-Comte, in the Belgian province of Hainaut. It is located 3 km east of the town of Braine-le-Comte and between the villages of Virginal, Henripont, Hennuyères, Ecaussinnes and Ronquières. Like the Sonian Forest, the Bois de la Houssière is part of the Charbonnière forest that once covered middle Belgium. The Brainette has its source there. Its surface area is currently about 650 ha, almost all of which is classified as Natura 2000. The Bois de la Houssière was the subject of several excavations as part of the investigation into the Brabant killings that took place between 1982 and 1985, but without conclusive results.
