Sculpture Walk

The promenade of Sada offers you the chance to walk all along its coastline. Along its more than 2 km, you will come across various sculptures that not only speak of art, but also of history, the sea and its particular tributes.
In front of the As Delicias Beach, is the Monument to the fisherman, a stone sculpture that recognises fishermen from Sada as protagonists in the town's history.
Before you, in the gardens of modernist La Terraza building, you will also find an old anchor in recognition of the seamen and neighbours of Sada who in 1940 assisted in the rescue of "Vapor Alegre", a ship that ran aground in the A Pulgueira area.
Next to the anchor, you will also see the Sculpture of the emigrant, a figure that represents the goodbye hug to those who early last century emigrated to America.
From here you can continue along the promenade and discover new figures like the "Bird" by the famous artist Peteiro or cross the avenida da Mariña and go into A Tenencia, a charming fishermen's district that will transport you back to the mid-nineteenth century.
