A low-difficulty circuit showcasing the castle of Hierges and the collegiate church of Vireux-Molhain. The wooded sections allow one to discover the Vireux-Molhain National Nature Reserve and the tranquil farmland of the Deluve Valley.

1/ Departure from the Val d’Ardenne Tourist Office. From the tourist office, head towards the quays, then facing the river, turn left to reach the bridge. Cross it and at the roundabout, take a right, then at the second roundabout, go straight. 2/ Go over the level crossing and turn immediately right. Follow the railway line. At the stop sign, turn left onto the road, then take the first road on the right and pass the cemetery of Hierges. 3/ Take the footbridge over the Joncquière stream and left to reach the center of the village. (The Croix du Duel is located against the house on the right after the tavern). 4/ Cross the village square and take the first street on the left for 150 m. At the intersection, take the hairpin turn to the right. 5/ Climb for 300 m and veer left onto a dirt path gently rising in the woods (viewpoint of the castle of Hierges). Continue for 1.6 km. 6/ Pass the motocross track and go around the forest barrier. Continue to take a right on a steep path through the underbrush for 500 m, just before the RD47. 7/ Go down left and reach the housing development. At the stop sign, go left then enter the Nature Reserve by taking the first dirt path climbing to the right. 8/ Go down to the right on the path leading from the small open square. [Forest barrier at the end of the descent!] After the barrier, continue left. 9/ Take the footbridge over the Viroin then climb the path to the left near the picnic tables. Follow Rue Gambetta to the right. Turn right again to take a new footbridge. Pass the houses. 10/ At the crossroads, take the first path on the left overlooking the meadow, then take two rights. Reach the Place de la Jussière by descending the street on the left. Return to the starting point by following Rue de la Jussière on the left then Rue Gambetta. 11/ Pass the collegiate church and climb left on Rue du Cimetière. Follow Rue Charmont to the right then left on Rue des Forges and Rue du 18 June 1940. At the roundabout, turn right. At the second roundabout, turn left then cross the bridge to return to the starting point.
